Position Summary:
The Family Crisis Center (FCC) Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day management of the Bits and Pieces thrift store. The mission of the store is to generate vital revenue to support the services provided by the organization. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for all daily operations. This includes supervising staff, volunteers, interns, visitors, and clients. It also includes professionally interfacing with community partners to build new and maintain existing relationships. All FCC staff share other responsibilities of the organization, as required.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist the Store Manager with thrift store operations and activities to ensure optimal customer service, proper implementation of policies, while reaching established sales/revenue goals.
· Provide oversite of all transactions, to ensure accurate cash, debit, and voucher processing. Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts and report any discrepancies.
· Complete bank deposits and sales reports
· Ensure inventory is stocked neatly and orderly.
· Provide training on Bits and Pieces and FCC’s policies to include handling donations, pricing of store merchandise to ensure it is consistent and reasonable, operating the cash register, and the production area: sorting, hanging, tagging, steaming, displaying, disposing of unusable donated items.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous retail or customer service experience is required. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting and other physical demands outlined below.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
